  Viriginia Spiderwort - Tradescantia virginiana - Perennial;   Three petaled purple blooms on grasslike foliage.  The leaves and blooms are often eaten raw or cooked, as a salad or green.  Roots are used in the treatment of kidney ailments and are used to make poultices to treat stings and bites.  Hardy to -30F (-34.4C); Full sun or partial shade.  Height: 15in.
