  Angel's Wings, mixed colors (Butterfly Flower, Poor Man's Orchid, Fringe Flower) - Schizanthus solanceae - Annual or Biennial - These Chilean natives bear odd-shaped 1-1/2in. flowers in shades of pink, lilac, red, white, mahogany, and yellow; some marked with contrasting blotches or designs and fernlike foliage.  Good cut flower for containers or bedding.  Curiously, if the bottom lip of the flower is touched, the plant will shoot pollen into the air.  Sounds like a Star Trek episode, doesn't it?  A beautiful plant and a great addition to a garden collection. Full sun; plant height: 18in.
