Self Heal (Carpenter Weed)  Prunella grandiflorum - Perennial - Lacy green leaves and pink whorled blooms make this an excellent bedding or container plant.  It possesses many of the same properties as vulgaris, but is showier in the garden. The leaves are edible and are eaten either as salad greens or are dried and made into a tea.  The plant has antibacterial and antispetic properties and has been used to treat sore throats, wounds and fevers.  Hardy to -20F (-28.8C);  height: 7in.
