Big Leaf Philodendron - Philodendron selloum or Philodendron bipinnatifidum - Native to Paraguay and Brazil, it has large, long-stalked deeply lobed green leaves. It is used in the US most often as potted plant (the disadvantage to this is that they rarely bloom in pots), but can be planted outdoors in the warmer parts of the country. Leaves can reach 3ft. in length, forming a druping circle about the short stem, and the entire plant can reach 15ft. tall. Hardy to 20F (-6.6C); height: 10ft.
