Olive (Olea europa) Cultivated throughout history for its fruits, which are pressed for their oil, or eaten green or ripe. Does best in a variety of soils as long as they are well drained. The fruit requires a long, hot season to ripen. Does well as a potted plant in colder climates, but probably will limit fruit production. Hardy to 30F (-6.6C); height: 6ft.
