Incense Cedar -
Libocedrus decurrens (aka Calocedrus decurrens)
Intensely fragrant evergreen native to North America where it can
grow to 150ft in height and 18ft in girth. Narrow and columnar
in growth, it has short slightly flattened branches with dark
green needles and makes a lovely specimen or landscaping tree where
space permits. Libocedrus are members of the Pine family,
Pinaceae.
The wood of libocedrus is often used to produce furniture and boxes
used to store clothing and other dry goods, and in the manufacture of
pencils.
Propagation can be done by planting seeds or by taking cuttings.
Seeds should be stored at 40-40F until planting. Seed require a
