Hyacinth Bean Dolichos lablab Annual flower  Hyacinth Bean (Dolichos lablab or Lablab purpureus) Annual; Perfect for trellis culture or large baskets, this pretty vine has purple stems and bright green leaves.  Blooms are lilac and measure 1 inch in diameter.  The beans, which appear later, are edible and are popular in Oriental, Indonesian, and Indian dishes.  Full sun; height: 6-12ft.

Kulthi Horse Gram Dolichos biflora Annual flower  Kulthi (Horse Gram ) Dolichos biflora - Annual - Fast growing  vine with yellow 3/4" pea like flowers, maturing into flat, brown seed pods.  Seeds are edible.  Indian traditional medicine uses the crushed seeds to treat swellings and current research is looking into the use of  lectins found in the plant.    Full sun; height: 12ft.
