Common heather (Scotch Heather) - Calluna vulgaris - Perennial;  Actually a small evergreen shrub that is found growing wild in many parts of Europe, often covering hundreds of acres where the soil has a slightly acidic pH, such as peaty or moorland areas. Not suited for clay or limey soils,   Pretty plant for garden beds, containers, or mass plantings.  Rosy-pink 1/2in. blooms on evergreen shrubby foliage.  Full sun; plant height: 12in.
